About WAPCCO
WAPCCO is a women-led organization committed to creating positive change in Somalia. We promote peace, support humanitarian efforts, combat climate change, and empower women and youth to build resilient, sustainable communities.
Who We Are
Women Aid, Peace and Climate Change Organization (WAPCCO) is a women-led organization working with communities in Somalia. We advance humanitarian efforts, address the effects of climate change, and create opportunities for women and youth to lead.
We believe lasting peace and development begin with the people who live it every day. That is why our programs are designed with communities, delivered through local partnerships, and built to last beyond our involvement.
What Drives Us
To promote peace, support humanitarian efforts, combat climate change, and empower women and youth to build resilient and sustainable communities in Somalia.
A peaceful, resilient Somalia where women and youth lead thriving communities and shape a sustainable future.
How We Work
Every program follows the same path: listen first, design together, deliver through local partners, and build the capacity that keeps results going.
We begin with community consultations led by women and youth, so priorities come from the people we serve.
Programs are shaped with local groups, elders and partners to fit each community’s context.
We implement through trusted local partnerships, with clear accountability to communities and donors.
We build local skills and structures so progress continues long after a project ends.
What We Do
Promoting peace, social cohesion and inclusive governance for stronger communities.
Delivering emergency assistance and essential services to vulnerable populations.
Driving climate resilience through sustainable practices and environmental protection.
Equipping youth and women with skills, opportunities and leadership platforms.
